Bring It On & Richard Hillman
Thanks for all your kind words, gang. It was so great seeing Nikki (Whitney), Max (Exec. Prod.), and Jessica (Writer), in addition to sharing the screening with a few friends who had yet to see the movie. Note to self: Don't share four bottles of wine at dinner before a Q and A... Sorry Jessica! lol
On a more somber note, Payton asked "Mr. Beaks" (from Ain't It Cool News) to read a letter for him (Payton was at a wedding on the east coast and could not attend). He informed everyone of the passing of actor Richard Hillman (who played Aaron) and mentioned how Richard lit up the screen every time he appeared on camera.
Richard was a sweet guy, a great actor and my experience working with Richard was wonderful. I just wanted to take this opportunity to make sure people remember him.

Bring It On - 10 year Anniversary Celebration
Clare, Rini and Kirsten
This is so awesome! Thanks to Phil Blankenship, New Beverly Midnights, New Beverly Cinema and Ain't It Cool News (who I LOVE and read every day), we will be celebrating Bring It On's 10th anniversary at the New Beverly Cinema (co-owned by Quentin Tarantino).
This movie means so much to me. Aside from the fun and experience of making it, not to mention the thrill of being in a blockbuster movie, what happened next affected my entire life in such unbelievable ways - BECAUSE of Bring It On I met one of my best friends, actress Bianca Kajlich who later introduced me to my loving husband, Brian.
This movie will forever mean the world to me in ways I will never be able to explain. Thanks for making this happen guys.
Hope to see you all on Saturday for the Q & A and the screening!

San Diego Comic Con International
We're getting close! I'll be signing at ComicCon again this year. It's so much fun and such a huge party... If it's your first time, make sure you plan for the nightly festivities as well as the con itself. This mega-geekfest has really evolved into something incredible, thanks to people like Jeffrey Walker (my hubby produced a movie with him and his son, Orion). Jeffrey was rated Entertainment Weekly's 46th smartest person in Hollywood in December, 2007
Here's a few geeky facts that shows Comic Con's gi-normity:
- Started in 1970 with 300 attendees with an entry cost of $3.00
- Today, more than 1,000 dealers have stalls
- One month after the 2009 convention, 10,000 tickets were already sold for the 2010 convention
- In 2005, with 168,000 convention attendees the fire marshal shut it down
- Currently, no more than 145,000 attendees are permitted inside the convention center at any time
- Comic-Con in 2008 attracted more than 134,000 people
- An average of 68,000 spend the night in a hotel room
- The 2009 convention celebrated 75 years of the adventure comic strips
- Comic-con is the largest run volunteer-run convention in the world
- Among those staying in hotels, about 68 percent hail from outside Southern California

NOH8 Campaign
NOH8 (No Hate)... It seems like such an easy thing. Doesn't it? It's so sad that there are so many people that just don't get it. I've certainly met my fair share of rude, stingy, unethical and flat out immoral people... It's just too bad. It's kind of ironic that Rodney King was so made fun of for words that just kinda make sense... I really wish it was that simple.
A special thanks to co-founders Jeff Parshley for setting up my shoot and to Adam Bouska for shooting me. You and your team are doing some amazing things. Congrats and thank you to NOH8 for what you're doing.
Please support NOH8 at www.NOH8campaign.com or follow them via Twitter at @NOH8campaign

Tom Lenk & Kirsten Vangsness - Taking Chances
Ever have those moments where you're not sure who you are, what you're doing in life, or what your purpose has become? Then, have you ever had those moments and done about 10 shots of tequila? That's like seeing Tom and Kirsten's show - "Taking Chances"!
My friend and I went tonight and it was so funny, so poignant, and so unbelievably true... life's most disastrous moments at their finest. Plus... the show in general really made me want to get back up on the stage again. It's been too long...

The Hollywood Sign
Well, it looks as though Hef as come in for the last $900,000.00, of the 12.5 mil, that it will take to buy the 138 acres around the Hollywood Sign. With all the money that Los Angeles spends on ridiculous things, what an embarrassment if we would have lost the sign.
Think about "the sign"; more iconic than Madonna, Meryl, Clint and all stars, past and present, combined. Synonymous with "the industry" and more universally recognizable than a 'men' or 'women' bathroom sign.
Many of us who moved to LA to do what we love to do were inspired by that sign. We've seen it adorn more movies, videos, tv shows, commercials...
... and books than ANY other one thing that I can think of. What a shame it even got this close... close enough that it is even a discussion. Way to go Hef, Tom, Rita and all others who contributed.

Movies, movies, movies...
Yes, I am the only loser on the planet who has yet to see Avatar. Aside from a bit of shopping and hangin' with the chicas, I am planning a blockbuster weekend to catch up. I rented Avatar, Crazy Heart, Brothers and because I've cried during the trailer many times... The Blind Side. I have tons to do for the boutique and other things but I plan on fitting-in at least two in the mix.
Obviously, my choices seem complete opposite genres of one another but I find a good mix is best. I never know what I am going to be inspired by - I tend to find inspiration at the most random times, in the oddest things. I may find it in a full-length Oscar winning performance, an oddball character in a short film, or a random individual from a documentary.
I guess I should also mention my Netflix picks: Journey to the Edge of the Universe and Very Young Girls - Like I said, my choices tend to be quite random. As much as I love thrillers or horror films I've never understood why some people are so drawn to just one type of genre - there is so much out there to love, and as a filmmaker, learn from.
Oh well, enough meaningless rambling. Catch a movie or DVD this weekend and get inspired!

Dinner at Comme Ca
I had so much fun with my girl, Julie, on Saturday night. We had dinner at Comme Ca: For Hors D'oeuvers we had Droasted beef marrow with oxtail jam, escargots, raw oysters and moules frites. For dinner we had a roasted beet salad, a "Heritage" pork chop and some amazing drinks from the mixologists.
Comme Ca Restaurant
After dinner we went to The Palihouse for my manager, Darren's birthday.
I had so much fun... it's always a blast with my girl!

Miramax
I don't know why I am so obsessed over the Miramax sell. I guess it has to do with the history, what movies Miramax contributed and the impact it had on the independent filmmaking world, back in the day - It doesn't hurt that we have a best friend that is deeply involved!
What a soap opera, I love it! Check it out at Deadline Hollywood.

Nashville Fim Festival
Just got asked to attend the Nashville Film Festival, representing Endure. I can't wait, that'll be fun, I love Nashville!
It took me ten minutes to figure out from the producer why they call it The "National" Film Festival, until he said "no, it's N-A-S-H-V-I-L-L-E Film Festival". Ohhhhhhhhhhh.

Our good friend, William Lynch, got named CEO of Barnes and Noble today... How cool is that? He's an awesome guy and totally deserves it! I will now sit back and wait for all my free books, lol.
Read William's announcement in Wall Street Journal Online
I will be at the Yoga center and Boutique all day today with my favorite Hollywood starlet, Julie Benz, getting the boutique ready. We open on Friday... I'm so excited!

Baby Loves Disco
Our friend, Amanda, whose hubby owns clubs Bardot and Avalon is having a Birthday Party at Bardot for her daughter, Dani Mae. It's called "Baby Loves Disco"... Cocktails for the adults, dancing for the kids... Too funny. This is a picture of Gavin in her outfit.
The dress is from auntie Julie Benz. It's just too cute, I can barely stand it!
Go Baylor! (that's for my friend Tom, sorry Duke, I'll root for you next time. :)

Breast Friends
This is Gavin and her "Breast Friend" Meital at her brother Lior's baby naming ceremony. I met her mom, Danna Caldwell, in a "Bradley Method" class and we've been breast friends since. She's my baby factory partner... We've had our kids around the same time and have gone through the entire process together, twice. I don't know what I would have done without her.
Danna and her husband, Adam, started Menchies and they are doing amazingly well. It is my FAVORITE yogurt! Check them out! http://menchies.com/

We Are Cleared for Launch!... And shopping of course.
InYoga is cleared to open! We finally got our hall pass from Building and Safety... Certainly not a cakewalk.
Today, I'm downtown looking at a few new lines for the boutique. I love shopping, what woman doesn't, but this is ridiculous... SO MUCH FUN!
